Are You Game Day Ready?

Are You Game Day Ready? As we cheer on the Owls this week, make sure you have plan! Ensure you have a bag of supplies you may need throughout the day, like sunscreen, chapstick, a water bottle, or hair ties. Need any of these items? Stop by an Owls Care Hoot or the OCHP office for your own Game Day Ready bag! If you are over 21 and choose to drink, lower risk with these tips: - Pace your drinks - Eat balanced meals throughout the day with a variety of foods - Set a limit for yourself with BAC in mind and track drinks accordingly - Use the buddy system with a trusted friend - Alternate alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks We encourage all of our Owls to stay hydrated throughout the day as well! Visit the Popsicle Stand in Lot 5 for an electrolyte popsicle. Remember to drink water continuously throughout the day as well. Have a plan, stay safe, and go Owls!

Flu season is here — are you ready?

Protect yourself and the people around you by getting your flu vaccine early. There's no cost for FAU students, and it can help reduce your risk of getting sick and missing class, work, or the things you enjoy. Making an appointment is easy! Speaking of Connection

A supportive therapy group for students with speech and communication challenges.

Speaking of Connection is a supportive therapy group for students living with speech impairments or communication differences. Rather than focusing on changing the way you speak, this group explores your relationship with communication and how speech challenges can affect confidence, relationships, identity, and well-being. Facilitated by a therapist who stutters, the group offers a supportive, low-pressure space to share experiences, build self-confidence, and develop new ways of responding to anxiety and self-doubt. This is not speech therapy; it is a counseling group that emphasizes connection, self-acceptance, and authentic communication.

Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Location: Counseling and Psychological Services (2nd floor of Breezeway)
If you are interested in joining this group, please contact Mason Blake at masonblake@health.fau.edu
